What this covers
Everything families need to know before they go.
Sending an athlete abroad is a big decision — and you probably have questions. This FAQ is built from real conversations with parents, players, and host families who are considering (or already committed to) a P3 International experience.
Whether you are curious about tour logistics, the Overseas Hockey Exchange Program, host family requirements, age groups, destinations, or what makes P3 different from every other hockey travel program — the answers are below. If you do not find what you need, the P3 team is one message away.
What is P3 International?
+
P3 International is the international division of P3 Sports Inc. It takes Canadian hockey culture to the world stage through elite tours, international tournaments, exhibition games, the Overseas Hockey Exchange Program, and cultural immersion experiences for players of every age.
Is P3 International part of P3 Sports Inc.?
+
Yes. P3 International is powered by P3 Sports Inc. and is the global extension of the P3 development pathway — Development. Academy. Competition. Same philosophy, same standards, global stage.
Who are the programs for?
+
P3 International programs serve dedicated hockey players and their families who want to experience the game outside their local environment in a structured development setting.
What ages can participate?
+
Programs are available for a range of ages — from younger youth players to older competitive athletes. Specific tours and events are organized by appropriate age and level.
What countries does P3 International travel to?
+
Destinations vary by tour and season. P3 International builds tours across Europe and other key international hockey markets. Contact us for current and upcoming destinations.
What is included in an international hockey tour?
+
Tours include exhibition games, tournament play, structured practices, cultural immersion experiences, travel logistics, supervision, and a complete P3-led development environment.
Are parents allowed to travel?
+
Some tours include parent travel packages where appropriate. We provide clear information about parent travel options on a per-tour basis.
What is the Overseas Hockey Exchange Program?
+
The Overseas Hockey Exchange Program brings international hockey players to the Cochrane and Calgary area to experience Canadian hockey culture inside the P3 ecosystem — training, competing, and living with Canadian host families.
How do host families work?
+
Local Canadian families open their homes to international players during their stay. Host families provide a safe environment, meals, transportation help, and become part of the player's Canadian experience. Visit our Host Families page to learn more.
How do I get more information?
+
Visit our Contact page and submit an inquiry, call 403-932-4259, or email info@p3sportsinc.ca. We will walk you through tours, the exchange program, host family details, and more.
Is this only for elite players?
+
P3 International serves dedicated athletes across a range of levels. The focus is on players who are ready to commit to the P3 standard and grow through international experience — not exclusively elite-tier players.
What makes P3 International different?
+
P3 International is not a hockey vacation provider. It is a hockey development experience built on the P3 philosophy: discipline, accountability, earned opportunity, and long-term athlete development. Same philosophy. Same standards. Global stage.
